Meet Our Founder: Amber Rae Cummings
Amber Rae Cummings founded Dash 2 Donate in 2019 at just five years old with a simple desire: to make sure other children could experience the joy of receiving a toy during the holiday season. What began as a young girl’s act of kindness has grown into a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization committed to uplifting children and creating opportunities in underserved communities.
Over the years, Amber’s passion for giving has grown right alongside her. Through Dash 2 Donate, she has helped bring joy to hundreds of children through annual toy drives and community partnerships, while continuing to find new ways to make a meaningful impact.
Amber is also an accomplished track athlete and Junior Olympian. Her own journey in athletics has shown her firsthand how sports can build confidence, discipline, perseverance, leadership, and a strong sense of purpose. That experience inspired her to expand Dash 2 Donate’s mission beyond toy giving to include youth athletic initiatives that create opportunities for children to participate, compete, develop as young leaders, and grow both on and off the field.
The name Dash 2 Donate now represents both sides of Amber’s story—the heart for giving that started it all and her passion for using athletics to help the next generation discover their potential.
As Amber continues to grow as an athlete, student, and young philanthropist, her vision remains rooted in the same compassion she had at five years old: every child deserves to feel supported, encouraged, and given the opportunity to thrive.
